The kick-off point to the well celebrated Midlands Meander route, Howick is also conveniently close to the best KZN beaches, the world heritage uKahlamba Drakensberg resorts, numerous historic battlefields and the best of KwaZulu-Natal's nature reserves. On Howick's doorstep is Midmar Dam, considered one of the finest inland sailing waters in the country.
The Amber Valley Care Centre is situated within the Amber Valley Retirement Village in Howick, KwaZulu-Natal. It offers 24-hour nursing care, on-site laundry facilities, tasty meals and a cheerful, friendly atmosphere. The facility has 89 single rooms with phones, supported by 3 lounges (with TV's) and a large dining room. The setting is tranquil, with two secure, secluded gardens, whilst the facility is secure with electrically controlled outside doors. The facility itself is light and airy with wide corridors.
